Charles Leclerc says Italian GP win beyond all his Ferrari dreams
Charles Leclerc has admitted the GP and the celebrations that followed surpassed his childhood dreams all, together with all Ferrari hero hailed as a’national treasure’ after his stunning success.
Leclerc was roared on during his epic drive at Ferrari’s home race as well as after a enormous twist of humor upon the chequered flag, the 21-year-old was greeted by a sea of crimson and the famed Tifosi since he stepped on the podium as the Scuderia’s initial Monza race-winner because 2010.

“It’s gone beyond all of dreams I had as a child,” said Leclerc. “To view all the folks for a single team, singing altogether – it is remarkable.
“I have never been around a podium with so many people underneath it and to see that the entire straight was full of people – 99 per cent reddish – it was great to see. Hearing them singing… there was just a lot of emotions.”
Leclerc was heralded together with the child as Lewis Hamilton, after which Valtteri Bottas, threw everything in the pole-sitter to find past withstanding a Mercedes barrage.
Even Mercedes boss Toto Wolff insisted”Ferrari have an upcoming great.”
Leclerc admitted his defence by Hamilton was”really about the limitation”, but also that he’d do anything to not let this chance pass. A Ferrari driver in addition to the podium in the front of this Tifosi is just one of the excellent scenes of F1, and Leclerc understandably found it challenging to remain focused in the final stages of the race.
“On the last two laps I started to find in the grandstand there was really a lot of agitation, that all the fans were leaping,” he said.
“So yeah, I had been telling myself’quit looking at the grandstand, look at the track, concentrate on what you are doing as a motorist and you can enjoy whatever there’s out.’
“However, it was rather difficult to stay concentrated on driving, watching just how much motion there was in the grandstand.”
Leclerc added to Sky F1:”It’s the first time in my profession that I actually examine the grandstand whilst forcing, that is normally not so great but I just had no choice.
“They were just jumping and hammering all race , it was wonderful to see. Just to triumph here feels very, very unique.”
Leclerc’s Ferrari victory didn’t only earn praise from fans, drivers and team directors – but also from the papers on Monday of Italy.

Corriere dello Sport crowned’king’ Leclerc, while also asserting the Leclerc era had begun.
Leclerc became the second-youngest driver in Ferrari’s background when he joined this year following a dazzling rookie season in F1 and said wins like Monza showed he had been”more ready than some folks believed”.
“It’s been an easy start to the summer, there’s been some errors,” he told reporters on Sunday night. “However, I think I’ve grown.
“I understood the critics of last yearI being too young. Year in Formula 1 and in Ferrari was for certain.
“I thank Ferrari for believing in me. I’m really happy to have these kind of results to demonstrate than some people believed I was more prepared.
