Claudio Marchisio retires from football at age of 33
Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has from retired from football after a bout with side Zenit St Petersburg.
Marchisio stopped his stay Juve last year after spending 25 years in the club where he also won four walkers as well as seven Serie A names. He made 55 caps for Italy, the final of which had been in 2017.
Its a significant decision but an extremely tough one. It was right to reveal it. I made the decision to retire since I realised that my entire body was no longer responding as the mind wanted, Marchisio told reporters at Juves Allianz Stadium.
He joined Zenit on a agreement but reduce his spell short earlier this season due to a knee difficulty after managing.
